About Us
With strong roots in the confectionary industry, Gandour has emerged as a leading food manufacturer in the Middle East, North Africa and India.
Established in1857, Gandour originally manufactured a variety of hard-boiled candies, loukoum and marzipan products in a factory-store in Beirut, Lebanon.
Today Gandour offers an extensive range of products including biscuits, cakes, chocolates, gums, candies, snacks, wafers and cooking oils.
Gandour employs over three thousand people worldwide, who all work in tandem to continually enhance their business processes and deliver the best quality products that meet both global standards and consumer needs.

Gandour is established as a factory store in Lebanon. The Initial product lines are Hard Boiled Candies, Loukoum and Marzipan.
1912
Gandour was transformed from a factory outlet to a modern plant.
1920
The chocolate and Pasta operations are added.
1936
A wafer production line was added, developing into a biscuit factory after World War II.
1950
Exports to the neighboring Middle Eastern countries grow.
The production of vegetable oil is initiated.
1960
Gandour becomes the most modern  plant of its kind in the region.
1970
The Choueifat factory was inaugurated in Lebanon.
1986
Gandour expands its operation to the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia by establishing two large factories in Jeddah.
2002
A new Gandour plant opens in Egypt.
2008
A new Gandour plant opens in Hyderabad, India
