Having started out as a manufacturer of hard boiled candies and marzipan, Gandour has become a leading producer of Cocoa based products, Bakery, Confectionery, as well as Food and Beverage items like fruit drinks, chocolate drinks, vegetable oils, and a variety of medium and long grain rice.

Our history is full of almost 150 years of achievements, which mark the growth of Gandour from a factory store to a leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) producer, with various production sites spread around the globe. Gandour is established as a factory store in Lebanon. The Initial product lines are Hard Boiled Candies, Loukoum and Marzipan.
1912
Gandour was transformed from a factory outlet to a modern plant.
1920
The chocolate and Pasta operations are added.
1936
A wafer production line was added, developing into a biscuit factory after World War II.
1950
Exports to the neighboring Middle Eastern countries grow.
The production of vegetable oil is initiated.
1960
Gandour becomes the most modern  plant of its kind in the region.
1970
The Choueifat factory was inaugurated in Lebanon.
1986
Gandour expands its operation to the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia by establishing two large factories in Jeddah.
2002
A new Gandour plant opens in Egypt.
2008
A new Gandour plant opens in Hyderabad, India
