The "Let’s get sweeter and let’s get closer" slogan of the event calls for rapprochement and interaction between family members in the Saudi society through drawings and decorations made on Yamama Cake and taking a group photo with the family.
The event continues for a month in Jeddah (Red Sea Mall, Al Andalus Mall), Riyadh (Hayat Mall) on Sept. 18 and 19, Granada Mall on Sept. 25 and 26), and Alkhobar (Dhahran Mall on Oct. 2 and 3). The event includes entertaining activities and instant prizes will be distributed to participants.
In addition, a cake decoration competition will be held as part of the event. The best design getting the highest percentage of likes on Gandour Facebook page (Gandour Arabia) will win a major prize from the company.
The Gandour company's executive for marketing and supervisor of the competition said: “We are very happy with the event's overwhelming response because it really addresses an important aspect of the Saudi woman's interest in confectionery works, decorations, and sharing with her children in an atmosphere of fun."
He added: “The event's strong presence and positive reactions of the audiences have surpassed the expectations of the organizers. This has made us more responsible to our society by contributing to the promotion of their values and traditions, and making such events more purposeful with new and innovative ideas that appeal to Gandour's fans in the years to come."
Additionally, a number of participants expressed their admiration of the event's “new and distinctive ideas,” the most important of which was the effective participation of children and their parents.
